Every construction firm talks about the importance of safety, but how many can back that up with proven results? Here are just some of Riley Construction’s safety statistics:
- EMR consistently below national average of 1.0. Our 2016 rate was .51, and currently stands at .54
- Zero OSHA citations since 2009
- Full-time safety staff, led by a Safety & Risk Manager with nearly 30 years of industry experience
At Riley , we believe that every accident is preventable, and we embed that philosophy into every project through a combination of field procedures and ongoing safety training. We also expect our subcontractors and partners to adopt our commitment to safety. Riley’s goal is for all employees, subcontractors and clients to return home to their families safely every evening.
Riley has a formal Safety and Health Program in place to provide policy and guidelines that will help us eliminate serious accidents and injuries. The prevention of accidents and injuries is the first and primary consideration of the Program. We also encourage safe behavior in an employee’s personal life as well as at work. Human injury is of equal gravity regardless of where it occurs, and safe personal habits and attitudes should continue whether on or off the job.
