A group of Riley employees spent Thanksgiving week giving back to a very deserving young girl through Make-A-Wish Wisconsin! Korbyn and Brandon Prust’s daughter, Violet, was diagnosed with B-Cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia in early 2020. At the time, it was anticipated she would be facing at least 3 years of chemotherapy, hospital visits, and medication while battling a 5-phase treatment plan. Remarkably, since July 3rd of this year, Violet has completed her final dose of chemotherapy! Read more about Violet and her family’s incredible journey at UWHealth.
Violet wished for an indoor playhouse for her and her brother, Benjamin. The Riley team delivered a custom, thoughtful design for The Prust family which includes a hand-puppet theatre, rock climbing ramp to an upper-level reading nook, windows with cheerful flower boxes, and a swirly slide that leads to a playroom area below!
The team of volunteers, including Superintendent Corey Sepanksi and his wife Anne, Kelly Tellez, Wade Axelson, and Tyler Lapoint enjoyed creating this unique project for Violet and her family to make memories in for years to come. A very special thanks to Union Grove Lumber for providing materials and Halverson Flooring for donating carpeting to help bring this creative playhouse to life!
