Riley Construction and Northwestern Medicine have maintained a successful partnership since the early 1990’s. Riley has built or remodeled approximately 350,000 SF of space in numerous Northwestern Medicine facilities across the northern Illinois suburbs.
Riley completed much of the work, including critical areas such as the ICU, while adjacent spaces were occupied. Areas of renovation and new construction include postpartum, critical care, ICU, extended care, MRI suites, OR renovation, pediatrics, day surgery, procedure rooms, recovery rooms, emergency room addition, medical office building, and an $8 million health and fitness institute.
Another major project was the 116,000 SF Hunter Family Center for Women’s Health. Riley built a 73,000 SF addition for new exam rooms, classrooms, educational areas, new labor and delivery rooms, new patient rooms, new nursery rooms, and a new C-Section operating room. Renovation of the facility, performed in multiple phases, involved 43,000 SF at various locations throughout the existing hospital.
