Skokie Swift CTA Oakton Station

Riley Construction completed a “kiss and ride” train station for the CTA and village of Skokie. This Yellow Line stop was the first station added since the route opened in 1964 as the “Skokie Swift” and provides service beween downtown Skokie and Chicago’s Illinois Science + Technology Park. The station was built on the same site as the original station. Features include:

  • Dual entrances on Oakton Street and Skokie Boulevard
  • Kiosks, turnstiles, and farecard vending machines
  • Platform with full canopy coverage
  • ADA-compliant accessibility features, including ramps to each entrance
  • New signage, including Braille
  • Bicycle parking
  • Security cameras
