Riley Construction provided preconstruction and construction management services for the three-story, 23,000 square-foot surgical addition and remodel for the Cancer Treatment Centers of America™ (CTCA) in Zion, IL.

In this new facility, primary surgical function is located on the second floor, which features four operating rooms (convertible to five) and a sterile core.  It also includes a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (four recovery bays and one isolation room), Same Day Surgery (seven recovery rooms and one patient holding room), a Central Sterile Processing Department, staff support with locker rooms, administrative support including offices and a conference room, and public/family support areas.  The first floor remained as shell space for future development, and the third floor is a mechanical penthouse.

Located in a restorative, rural setting, Cancer Treatment Centers of America is a premier provider of cancer care.  Its experts have been providing an unprecedented level of care to cancer for more than two decades.  More than doubling in size since its inception, the hospital expands every year as the latest medical innovations are acquired and more members join its team.
