The ProHealth Care Waukesha Memorial Hospital NICU Renovation and Expansion is a vital project enhancing newborn care in Waukesha County. ProHealth Care’s Level III NICU serves premature and critically ill infants, offering specialized care from a highly skilled team of neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners. This 44,361 square-foot project includes the addition of two C-Section operating suites, upgrades to the NICU with private and dual-patient rooms, and modernized Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) areas.
The project’s complexity required phased construction to maintain uninterrupted care. Temporary nursery and NICU spaces were created to ensure ProHealth’s exceptional neonatal services—24/7 neonatal transport, pediatric subspecialists, and developmental follow-up care—continued without disruption. The newly designed spaces not only enhance patient care but also improve comfort for families, offering sleep rooms, visitor lounges, and staff areas.
