Riley Construction provided construction services for the renovation of the West Allis Fire Department Administration Building to accommodate the administrative offices of the fire department. The 14,322 SF job included the conversion of an existing two-story with a basement. Riley added a three level stair tower to the outside of the building and also a new elevator shaft infill connecting all three levels.
The building exterior remained intact and was upgraded to maintain its original and historical appearance. An elevator was incorporated into the existing hose tower to provide required vertical access to all floors along with other changes to comply with the barrier free requirements of the ADA. The building houses all administrative offices and also incorporates training and exercise facilities and acts as a home base for firefighting trainees.
