Ascension St. Luke’s Health Pavilion

Racine, Wisconsin

Riley Construction provided construction management services for the Ascension All Saint’s St. Luke’s Health Pavilion, home of the Women’s and Children’s Center.  The 174,000 SF Women’s and Children’s Center includes labor and delivery rooms, a neonatal intensive care unit, an in-patient pediatric facility, and a breast imaging center.  The Women’s and Children’s Center features two C-section operating suites outfitted with the latest in surgical and neonatal care equipment.  The LDPR rooms feature a bay window.  A whirlpool is available for relaxation therapy for women in labor.  The nine birthing rooms provide all the technology needed in a beautiful, comforting setting. Equipment is hidden wherever possible so that it can easily be accessed when needed.  The post-partum rooms are a spacious place to stay after giving birth.  There are 31 private rooms, which also include a sleep chair for someone to stay.  The newborn nursery includes a viewing area for family members, friends, and visitors, there is a comfortable waiting area that also includes a special children’s play area and refreshments.

The addition also included the connection into the existing All Saints’ facility with the complex connection to the existing 12 OR suites on the second floor and adding two additional OR suites.  The Riley team had to deliver the project with no impact to surgical operations while stringent air quality and infection control standards were maintained.
