ProHealth Care Waukesha Memorial Hospital 2SW Acuity & Neuro, Surgery Great Room & ICU Renovations

Waukesha, Wisconsin

Built simultaneously on the first and second floors of the Waukesha Memorial Hospital, 2SW Neuro and Acuity Adaptable – Surgery/ICU Finish Upgrade – Great Room Expansion, consisted of many phases and off-shift work to accommodate staff operations. The total renovation area was 30,500 SF, and included 24 patient rooms used for both Neuro and Acuity Adaptable services located on the 2SW wing, finish upgrades and renovations throughout surgery and ICU, and expanded storage in the surgery department. The existing building construction was from the 1960’s and only had cosmetic upgrades through the years.

A phased approach and demolition chutes helped maintain the construction schedule and kept disruption to a minimum. The 2SW project was sandwiched in-between the NICU department and Surgery while the Surgery/ICU Finish upgrade and Great Room portions of work were inside and surrounded the Surgery Suite. All work was performed while maintaining full operation of critical areas of the hospital.
