Ascension Franklin Medical Office Building

Franklin, Wisconsin

Growing demand for patient care in the area required the construction of a new medical office building.  Ascension Healthcare constructed a three-story, 65,000 square foot Medical Office Building, on a 28-acre parcel of land just north of the campus grounds on South 27th Street.  The Franklin Medical Office Building houses primary care, specialty physician offices, and a walk-in clinic. Ascension Medical Group physicians who were based in the hospital, were relocated in the new medical office building, and started seeing patients on June 2013.  Construction took place adjacent to an active, occupied hospital facility creating many planning and logistical challenges so as not to disrupt patient care.

The vacated floors in the hospital allowed for the expansion and addition of services and amenities that include:

  • 20 inpatient beds for a total of 52
  • Two additional GI labs
  • Cardiac catheterization lab and 22 pre/post procedures rooms
  • Additional CT scanner and MRI
  • Additional cardiovascular room for a total of five OR’s
