Riley Construction provided construction services for a major expansion to the S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc. Childcare Learning Center in Caledonia.
Designed by Eppstein Uhen Architects and opened in 1985, the SCJ facility is one of the nation's first childcare center for the exclusive use of its employees and their families.
The single story 9,500 SF addition provides an additional 10 classrooms for children from infancy through preschool, and includes a sunroom for reading and group activities and a conference room for parent/teacher conferences.
The addition was designed and constructed to maintain the facility's existing LEED certification.
